Please see the below information regarding signs for political elections from our city code:

13.35.050.01. General Provisions

Political are not subject to this Chapter, except political signs shall be removed immediately after the election for which such signs are intended, shall be located on the owner’s private property, and shall not constitute a public nuisance.

13.35.060.05 Temporary Signs. Temporary signs are regulated as follows:

Applicability. Temporary signs include: construction signs, real estate signs, model signs, political signs, garage sale signs, banners, off-premise open house signs, off-premise development directory signs, temporary window signs, and signs for temporary uses involving retail sales.

Generally. The following general regulations apply to temporary signs: Temporary signs, unless otherwise restricted in each category, shall be installed for a duration not to exceed the purpose which the temporary sign serves or the length of the special event.
Not obstruct a road or sidewalk, not be located on the public right-of-way, not interfere with the intersection visibility requirements, or not constitute a danger to public safety.

Banners shall: Not exceed one-half (0.50) square feet of banner space for each linear foot of property line.
Must be placed on the side of the building from which it draws its allowed square footage.
Are allowed for a maximum period of three (3) months per calendar year, and are in addition to any other signage permitted by this Chapter.
Be kept in good repair and remain firmly attached to the ground or building.

Construction Signs. Only one (1) sign shall allowed per lot and shall not be erected until a building permit has been issued. The sign shall be removed within fourteen (14) days after the issuance of a certificate of occupancy.

Real Estate Signs. Shall be erected on private property with the permission of the property owner. Shall not be erected on public property or right-of-way.

Model Site Signs. Such signs shall be use for model homes or buildings as follows: One (1) sign per model lot not to exceed six (6) square feet.
Two (2) off-site directional signs, not to exceed four (4) square feet that are to be placed no sooner than two (2) hours before opening and be removed one (1) hour after closing.

Garage Sale Signs. One (1) sign not to exceed six (6) square feet.

Temporary Retail. Such uses are allowed a temporary sign up to thirty-two (32) square feet in total area. Temporary retail use signs are to be removed when the use ends. Said signs are to be properly secured, mounted, or anchored into the ground. Flyers or standard page sized price signs for merchandise or items on display is permitted.

Window Signs. Temporary window signs may be placed for a period not to exceed four (4) months per calendar year.
